Deployment Best Practices and Reference Architecture for VMware Cloud Foundation on PowerEdge MX

It is not easy to deploy and manage data centers with hundreds of compute and storage resources and thousands of virtual machines (VMs).

In a hybrid cloud environment, you need a single integrated solution that is easy to deploy and operate through built-in automated lifecycle management.

In this project, the Tolly Group builds out a production-ready Vmware Cloud Foundation built on Dell PowerEdge MX Modular server infrastructure. They test and describe how much infrastructure (hardware), time and capital investment is required to get it off the ground and expand it down the road.

They also outline the steps and changes required to grow from single chassis to multi-chassis deployment where two or more chassis build upon the initial Cloud Foundation installation.

The Value of Diversity and Inclusion for Law Departments

The recent Thomson Reuters/Acritas 2019 State of the Corporate Law Department report found that gender-diverse teams achieved significantly higher performance ratings, mirroring earlier research on corporate boards and teams in general. Similar results have been shown for other categories of diversity. The facts are clear: diverse teams are stronger, higher-performing, and more adaptable.

No matter the size of your law department, you can both make it more diverse and inclusive internally as well as drive change among outside counsel to create more diverse teams. In this free 75-minute Practical Law webinar, presenters Donna Bunch Coaxum (Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of OSI Group, LLC), Scott Coward (Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Administrative Officer and Secretary of Exact Sciences Corporation), and Helen Respass (Senior Legal Editor, Practical Law) discuss how to overcome common challenges and implement “best practices” to achieve greater diversity and inclusion and increase the value of your law department.

Fuel Tax Compliance Best Practices:

Automation reduces errors and maximizes efficiencies

Downstream energy suppliers, distributors, and retailers are subject to a variety of fuel excise taxes and other complex taxes at the federal, state, and local levels. Keeping up with all the rules, rates, and filing requirements while ensuring accurate and timely monthly filing entails considerable operational costs. Taking shortcuts to avoid these costs can lead to tax errors and risk significant fines and penalties.
